The Maskerrando association is from Bologna and presents itself with costumes from the 1700s and 800s Venetian skillfully handcrafted by expert hands and revisited with fantasy, complete with imaginative masks that can be seen during the Venetian carnival, to entertain and bring spectators into a dimension playful where grace, elegance and refinement reign supreme with the intent to involve more and more people in a fun journey through time and fantasy. Maskerrando was officially born at the beginning of 2013 after years of experience carried out by the individual members in other groups.

The association has participated in numerous events:

• • The various editions of the Venice carnival,

  • Parade for charity purposes at PoggioRusco ((Mantua) country hit by the earthquake in 2012) bringing a day of joy and distraction,

  • Carnival on Lake Garda,

  • Exhibition and fashion show in the center of Bologna, in the context of the marvelous setting of the Portico dei Servi, in collaboration with the international choir of the "Chiesa dei Servi".

  • Accompaniment and presence in Bologna as part of the "Zucchi Prize" for two editions, of which the latest in Nov.2014, within the walls of the "Sala Borsa",

  • Collaboration with the 8cento association, with which we participated in historical re-enactments, both in the center of Bologna and in the center of Ferrara,

  • Collaboration for exhibition and celebrations at the end of the year with the Hobby One disco club in Bologna,

  • Participation in the parade for two editions at the summer carnival of Abruzzi, Alba Adriatica,

  • Participation with choreography and parade at the carnevalò in Ancona,

  • Participation with fashion shows and choreography at the Grand Carnival of Yasmine Hammamet (Tunisia),

  • Participation in collaboration with "the Compagnia degli Anelli" parade and entertainment with the public at the "Autumn Walk" held in Padua in the context of the "WTE" World Tourism Exhibition,

  • Great carnival of San.Giovanni in Persiceto (Bologna)

  • Entertainment and parade at the Carnival of Crema.

Our performance consists of entertainment, fashion shows, choreography, masks and costumes are the result of my passion and are entirely created by hand.

We are available to participate in events and events of various kinds, to bring moments of joy and transport with our presence.

For the future we are working to enlarge the group and make it grow, also through contacts with international organizers ... ROVE (ERRANDO) also outside Italy

The association MASKERRANDO, is not for profit: it is proposed to promote interest and curiosity for the fanciful world of Venetian masks and promote the knowledge of different cultural traditions.

In particular, it proposes to carry out activities of social utility through:

                a) the promotion and support of the Venetian mask and its traditional costume or reworked.

                b) the promotion, organization, preparation, participation and management on their own or on behalf of other associations, public and private bodies, pro-loco or third parties, of initiatives concerning:

                        - parades, historical re-enactments, masked balls, amateur events.

                        - collaboration with photographers, workshops, exhibitions and all that may have relevance to the theme of the mask.

The association operates and works in full respect of freedom and dignity.

Any political, trade union of workers and employers, professional or category, or exclusive protection of the economic interests of members is excluded.

To achieve the aforementioned purposes, the association may also carry out activities not listed above, if they are nonetheless ancillary and non-prevalent, however always pertinent to the Venetian mask.
